You can also stop off in Mdina, the former capital, which features many important historical monuments, such as Vilhena Palace. The TV show, Game of Thrones, was also filmed here!

Malta is also home to many beautiful diving destinations. During your boat charter in Malta, make sure to stop by the Blue Grotto and the Blue Hole. The latter, which is located in Gozo, is one of the most famous freediving locations in the world.

How much does a boat rental in Malta cost?

The price of your yacht rental in Malta will vary depending on several different factors. These include the duration of your boat rental, the time of year, the size of your party, and of course, the size and type of vessel that you wish to rent. Setting sail with a skipper, or renting additional extras such as water sports equipment can also affect the price.

Sailboat

If you are looking for a sailboat charter in Malta, a vessel with space for six people can cost you approximately €3,594/week in low season or €5,136/week in high season.

Motorboat

A motorboat rental for 12 people in Malta can be priced at around €4,760/week in low season or €4,900/week in high season.

RIB

Renting a RIB in Malta with a capacity got 12 people can cost about €3,360/week year-round.

Catamaran

If you are looking to set sail with a larger group, a catamaran rental in Malta with a capacity of 24 can cost you approximately €3,750/week in low season and €7,000/week in high season.

Gulet

Jet Ski

When is the best time for a yacht rental in Malta?

Malta’s Mediterranean climate means that the temperature is warm year-round and there is very little rainfall. The warmest month of the year is August, which has an average temperature of 27°C and the coolest month is February, which has an average temperature of 15°C.

Although the weather is the warmest during the summer months, the best time to rent a boat in Malta is either in May or from September to October. During these months, the weather is warm, with average temperatures of 20°C in May, 26°C in September, and 24°C in October, and there is very little precipitation. Additionally, as these months are outside of Malta’s high season, it is likely that boat prices will be slightly lower than they are between June and August.

Should you sail with a skipper in Malta?

Many of our boat rentals in Malta come with the option of renting a skipper, which can truly enrich your trip. There are many advantages of renting a boat with a skipper, for example, you will not need to have a boating licence in order to set sail. Your skipper will also be a local, and therefore will be able to navigate your vessel through the Maltese archipelago with ease, whilst showing you hidden spots that normally go unnoticed by tourists.

With a skipper on board, you will be able to sit back, relax, and revel in Malta’s natural beauty.
