"VAMANI" means Cotton plant in Hindi.. It is a boat that simply OUTSTANDS the rest... It has 3 magnificent double cabins and a convertible saloon, and is equipped to sail with up to 12 people in Zone 4 and 8 people in Zone 2. It is a unit with EXCELLENT EXTRAS that very few boats have. Life on board has GREAT COMFORT thanks to its spaciousness and modern interior design. It has plenty of closets and storage space, and a large-capacity refrigerator. The kitchen has a saltwater tap to save fresh water, all the bathrooms are electric and it has studied and modern LOW CONSUMPTION LED lighting. Its BATHTUB is very spacious and comfortable, in addition to an extensive Bimini and its excellent transparent anti-spray hood, it has high-density seats backed with down cushions. The DECK is very spacious, so life on board is distributed throughout the entire length of the boat. It has an elegant TEKA finish in the bathtub, unbeatable BOSE HIFI speaker system, adjustable LED lights, MICROWAVE, unbeatable kitchenware... The VAMANI has two davits installed in the stern to transport its AUXILIARY boat and support for the 4-stroke engine It has a Delta plow anchor, and 60 meters of 10mm chain (30 meters pre-sized). It also has electric bathrooms, a powerful bow thruster and a LATEST GENERATION Raymarine TOUCH Navigation system. Bathing platform finished in Teak with sea scale, PLUGS for charging in all cabins, backlit LED lights and a modern BLUETOOTH music system so you can play your music from your phone. Equipped with the best SAFETY SYSTEMS in navigation, it is equipped with an AIS system, self-inflating life jackets, radio beacon, automatic life raft and professional first aid kit on board. All our boats have Professional Preventive Maintenance. The communication before the charter was in general very timely and Ramon, the Booking Manager very responsive. Unfortunatly, ca. 6 weeks before the start of the charter they increased the deposit from 3.000 Euro to 4.000 Euro to be paid minimum 2 weeks before start of the charter, which forced me to rearrange my deposit insurance and ca. 2 weeks before the charter they send a 9 page addendum to the carter contract in Spanish eventough all previous communication was in English. With he help of Google translator I worked out quite some important items like (a) where it is prohibited to passage, (b) to send a picture of the voltmeter every day, (c) to be obliged to contact the harbor before entering, (d) to immediatly response to any call of Corporate Yachting and many more items, which all were foreseeing that they can punish you with keeping part or all of the safety deposit. Finally, when bording the boat the overall condition of the boat at the beginning of the charter was not as expected as (a) the solar panel did not work (which is an issue for the batteries, when you mainly want to sail - so we decided not to use the fridge!), (b) the electrical winch was broken (a real comfort topic), the skipper cabinet window was broken and did not have a mosquito net, (d) the sea water tap in the kitchen not working (an issue because you need more fresh water), (e) the kitchen closest hardly to open to get access to the garbage pin, (e) the cutlery rusty and you could feel that the boat is lacking proper maintenance for quite same time. The check-out was not as usual, as I did not get a final sign-off that everything is ok and in return a written confirmation that they will transfer back my safety deposit of Euro 4.000, but only the information that everything looks good, but they will get in contact later. As I did not get any confirmation the following day I started to get nervous and needed to be persistent to get final confirmation shortly before the 72 hour time limited foreseen in the charter contract expired that they are on their way processing the refund of the deposit. I hope other sailing enthusiasts find my comments helpful and eventually Corporate Yachting can also take some learnings out of them to further improve their services!
