About the experience
Hello,
We invite you to discover the Var coast and its islands of Porquerolles, Port Cros, and others, on a private boat chartered just for you, with the skipper already on board 😎. Enjoy a safe and comfortable co-navigation experience!
Brigitte, who understands the relaxation often sought by mothers (and/or partners), will take care of the cooking, meal preparation, and all onboard tasks (from pre-stocking provisions – no wasted time – to washing up).
The sailboat is a Sun Odyssey 47 CC (limited edition of 12 – 14.5 meters with a central cockpit). It's a robust and very well-equipped boat (refitted in 2022) that sails quickly and very comfortably (13 tons). The central cockpit is truly spacious and unobstructed by maneuvering lines. It is sheltered by a large awning. A central cockpit also ensures maximum comfort while sailing, as you are at the sailboat's center of gravity (significantly less tossed about...), elevated and protected on all four sides (the little ones are well sheltered :-).
Maneuvering a sailboat is a skill that is relatively easy to learn. If you wish, you will quickly have the boat under our full responsibility (no worries). You can then prepare for a future solo charter (some have started this way and now skipper their own boats!). I can also take care of this role entirely if you prefer.
We like to provide our guests with a high-quality, enjoyable, safe, and comfortable sailing experience. Therefore, we will make the bow of the boat available to you, namely the double cabin (for a couple) and a side cabin (for 1 or 2 adults or 2 or 3 children), as well as a dedicated bathroom with shower/toilet. We reserve the aft section of the sailboat (with our bathroom), which we share with our sleepy cat, Dafco. This significantly reduces the close quarters that can sometimes be a problem on a boat.
We would therefore be delighted to welcome a small family (maximum 3 children) or one or two couples without children to share a sailing experience, glide silently across the water, swim and play in the coves, and daydream at night in the somewhat magical anchorages along this stretch of the Var coast (or further afield...).
The boat also has all the comfort and safety features a sailboat of this length can offer (independence, large teak cockpit table for 7-8 people, sunbeds and platforms fore and aft, spacious deck, rigid stainless steel handrails, safety nets/child nets in the aft lifelines, and of course, hot water, fully equipped galley, generator, electric furlers for the genoa and mainsail (Triradial Mylar for those in the know), AIS, radar, beacons, complete offshore safety equipment, etc.). Depending on your stay and group size (ages, number of people), the following charges apply:
A contribution towards fuel costs (often €0 if there's a bit of wind) - otherwise 5 liters/hour.
A contribution towards meals: sharing meals eaten together - prices are the same as at home, based on the cost of the food.
A contribution towards overnight stays and onboard living expenses.
Access to all water sports equipment is included (paddleboarding, canoeing, etc.). (snorkeling…)
Just a heads-up! There's no ashtray inside the sailboat.
Let's get in touch to discuss your plans…
