Located in Jelinak Bay near Trogir, Croatia's only underwater sculpture museum is one of the most genuinely surprising experiences available anywhere on the Dalmatian coast. Just a few metres below the surface, more than 50 life-sized statues sit silently on the seabed, including an extraordinary 8-metre tall figure of Christ, the 15 Stations of the Cross, and the wreck of a Yugoslav military aircraft, the Soko Jastreb J-21, resting on the sandy floor. No diving experience is needed, the sculptures sit at accessible depths between 4 and 10 metres, and snorkeling gear is provided on board. It is, by every measure, unlike anything else in the region.
