I’m Ben, a 34-year-old French–Australian professional sailing captain based in the Mediterranean. I’ve been sailing since childhood and have worked full-time at sea for over a decade. I’ve been the captain of EVE since 2018, managing her racing programs, ocean crossings and long-distance voyages — from Australia to Europe via the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea. I’m very much a sailboat person. I love the balance between performance and elegance — trimming sails properly, feeling the boat accelerate, and sharing that sensation with guests who want to experience real sailing, not just transport. Over the years I’ve raced offshore, delivered yachts internationally, prepared boats for major regattas and managed complex refits and maintenance programs. Safety, seamanship and attention to detail are central to everything I do. What I enjoy most is creating the right experience for each crew — whether that’s relaxed island hopping, discovering hidden anchorages, enjoying water sports, or giving guests a taste of performance sailing on a legendary Swan 65. EVE is more than a charter boat to me — she’s a project I’ve invested years of my life into, and I’m proud to share her with people who appreciate classic yachts and beautiful sailing.
