About the experience

Ghimar is a Grand Banks 50 built in 1972 by American Marine, one of the last of its generation constructed of wood before production shifted to fiberglass. A rare and distinctive boat with an instantly recognizable silhouette, it was completely re-engined in 2021 with twin Caterpillar C7.1 engines, each producing 350 hp.

On board, you have four distinct areas: the aft cockpit, the interior saloon, the foredeck, and the flybridge. This comfortably accommodates up to 24 people without anyone feeling cramped—a fact our clients consistently remember at the end of their day.

The boat is exclusively chartered for your group. Departure, sailing, and anchoring times are entirely arranged according to your preferences—you won't be sharing the boat with anyone else. The trip lasts up to 6 hours and departs from the Old Port. The itinerary is tailored to your wishes and the conditions: Marseille harbor, Frioul Islands, sheltered anchorages for swimming. The skipper is bilingual in French and English and knows the hidden gems not shown on charts.

Ghimar is ideal for group charters: birthdays, bachelor/bachelorette parties, corporate seminars, and days out with friends. The boat is also available for photo shoots and audiovisual productions.

An unforgettable day on board! Gwendal, our skipper, was attentive and very clear in his communication. Safety was assured, and despite the somewhat choppy weather, our sailing wishes (including a little extravagance with specific navigation points) and places visited were listened to and respected as much as possible!
