After a succession of enchanting coves such as those of Fiascherino, Maralunga, l'Eco del Mare, you arrive in the suggestive bay of Lerici with its castle and its beaches. The first stop will be in one of these bays for a refreshing swim and an aperitif with tasting of typical products. We will continue to Portovenere (the pearl of the Gulf of Poets), an ancient fishing village, where you can admire the "Palazzata a Mare" from the sea, a set of tall buildings narrow together, which overlook the horizon; the different widths of the facades, as well as the uneven heights and the pastel colors that alternate between them, creating an unusual spectacle. The Doria Castle, the ancient church of San Pietro and Byron's Cave, set in a fascinating inlet, will conclude this first part of your tour. We will stop at anchor in the harbor of Portovenere, you will be offered a light lunch and drinks. Once lunch is over, we will resume the journey to discover the Islands: - Palamaria, the largest of the Ligurian islands characterized by high cliffs and numerous caves and the remains of the marble quarries from which the precious Portoro marble was extracted. - Tino is to all intents and purposes a nature reserve, a military area was established on its territory which meant that it could not be exploited from a building point of view nor was access allowed to people or the possibility for boats to dock . - Tinetto is the smallest island of the three and the furthest from the mainland; on its rock the ruins of a sixth-century oratory and those of a larger church, with two naves, whose construction lasted until the eleventh century are still visible. The latter, however, was destroyed in one of the Saracen incursions. We will stop for a refreshing swim in the suggestive waters of the Gulf of Poets. Departure for one of the numerous coves on the Ligurian side where we will stop for lunch and a refreshing swim. Before returning to the port you can admire the islands of Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto and stop for a dip. Return to port at 5.30pm. Mattress, full face mask and mask with snorkel, float tube and board, basic fishing equipment are available. Free parking and showers are available at the Ameglia departure port.
