Boat rental in Santa Marta · Shannon — 1978 (1978)

Our sailboat is a Shannon 38 from 1978, designed by Walter Shultz, according to the book "World's Best Sailboats" volume II by Ferenc Máté it is among the best built boats. The cabin has teak wood on the floor and walls, with bronze portholes and anchors. In the bow it has a private double cabin, to starboard there is double accommodation and to port there is one place. Five people can comfortably spend the night. This boat comes from an English couple (Mike and Ineke) who lived there for 20 years, traveling through the Caribbean, the United States, Mexico, Panama, Aruba, among others. For this reason, it is in very good aesthetic and functional condition. We currently use the boat for charter and family use. As it was a ship that was sailing long distances, it has complete safety equipment, as well as tools and spare parts in case something happens. It has a Dinghy with a 15 horsepower engine, first aid kit, fire extinguishers, VHF and MF/HF radio, chart plotter, life jackets, hand flares and flare gun, depth sounder, anemometer, two CQR anchors (one chain and another corporal). The beaches of Tayrona Park are the best in the area. In Granate, Bahía Concha and Cinto, you can anchor. From the international marina where we are docked, you can reach Cinto where we recommend spending the night, since to get there you have to sail for approximately 4 hours. Granate (one hour to get there) is the first bay in the Tayrona park where diving schools arrive along its seabed. Bahía Concha (two hours to get there) is a very touristy and visited beach. In Cinto you can find dishes offered by local fishermen. We have a grill to have a good experience on board with catch of the day. Near the marina we can find very good restaurants and the historic center of Santa Marta. I am Darío Vives, the owner of the Yacht.
