    Excellent welcome, lovely, well-designed boat, the captain and his partner were delightful. For extra fun, I opted to rent a second Seabob for 450 euros, which is the going rate in St. Barth's; on the French Riviera, I usually pay half that price. The real downside was the cruising speed, which is generally between 17 and 20 knots for a boat at this price point, to avoid being tossed around too much by the waves. But according to the captain, there was an engine problem, so we had to cruise at 10 to 11 knots—perfect speed for getting seasick. At that speed, we didn't have time to do what we wanted. I usually rent boats between 50 and 90 feet that cruise without any problems at 17 to 20 knots. The owner gave us a 10% refund of the rental price—truly pathetic! But if I had known we would be sailing at 10 knots, I would NEVER have rented this boat. So, disappointing at this price, and this 10% discount really let me down because I would have preferred to be rented a boat that actually worked or to receive at least half of the refund, since the promised service wasn't provided.
