SV Ah Ma is an immaculately maintained 55ft Bavaria cruiser. She is equipped with 2 guest Oceans Evasionins, accommodating four people over night. The saloon can be converted in an additional double berth if you would like to bring more people. Ah Ma is equipped with air conditioning, fully equipped kitchen/galley, new teak decks, large swimming platform, dinghy with 15hp engine to get to one of the many secluded beaches. Ah Ma is our home, so she has all the comforts you can expect. Sailing is easy with furling main and Genoa and electric winches to lessen the burden. Our cruising area lies between Phuket and Langkawi, with the easily accessible Telaga harbour as our main port, from here we facilitate a day sail to the many famous Langkawi islands and bays is a dream. Or an overnight cruise to be able to wake up on the shores of paradise. We purchased Ah Ma in the Caribbean in 2019, and skippered her through the pacific, coral seas, Indonesian archipelago to her current ‘home’ between Langkawi and Phuket. Growing up in Holland, I’ve been sailing since I could walk, the lakes of Holland the Waddenzee and the coast of the North Sea. In 2019 we bought Ah Ma, and I skippered her from the old home, Curacao to her new cruising grounds in Asia. A journey that took the better part of 5 years, including those COVID years… So all in all, well above 50000 miles and around 45 years of experience. Leng has joined me in 2024 and together we have been going up and down the coats of Malaysia and Thailand. She has a vibrant personality and is a great hostess. We enjoy teaching new sailors the fine art of sailing, a good conversation, a laugh and a drink.
